Mr. Elisara

Picture
I've grown to value my role as an educator and I think Skyline is an awesome school with boundless potential. I teach because I enjoy working with high schoolers - hoping to impart knowledge not only through instruction but also through positive leadership. I work hard to be an effective teacher and I look forward to positive experiences in my classes every year.

Fun Fact:
My wife, Cora, is an elementary teacher...and we're expecting a daughter in February! In the picture I'm attempting to execute a sweep entry...rotational shot put or discus? Anyone?

Coach Elisara

Picture
As a former collegiate student-athlete I developed a love and passion for athletics and an appreciation for what it takes to balance a busy schedule. I learned firsthand the amount of time and effort required to achieve a high level in both academics and athletics. I carry these lessons into my work as a teacher and coach...it requires even more time and effort to achieve a high level in these fields.

Fun Fact:
I've been fortunate to be able to coach the same positions/events I competed in as an athlete (football - defensive line, track & field - shot put and discus).

University of Washington graduate...twice

Picture
I earned my Masters in Education while working as a Life Skills Assistant and Learning Specialist at the UW. I focused on providing collegiate student-athletes with personal and academic support while working with former advisers and teammates.

Fun Fact:
My mom and dad are both educators, as well as my wife and both of her parents.

Teach for America - Mississippi Delta Corps

Picture
Upon graduating I joined Teach for America and moved to the South. I had the best experience of my life teaching Geometry and coaching football, basketball, and track and field. After two years in the classroom I managed teachers grades K-12 throughout the Mississippi Delta region as a Manager of Teacher Leadership & Development for Teach for America.

Fun Fact:
You might hear an occasional Southern Drawl...

I attended the UW  as a student-athlete on a football scholarship and majored in Communications with a minor in Education. I also threw shot put and discus for the track and field team.

Fun Fact:
#71 went to Skyline, #10 played for the Titans, #15 for the Seahawks/Jets, #1 for the Eagles/Texans, #40 for the Buccaneers and now for the Redskins

High School   |   Ferris - Spokane, WA

Picture
As a high schooler I participated in wrestling, football, track and field, and debate. I couldn't have had a better high school experience and I hope the same for any high school student. I think it should be one of the best times of your life!

Fun Fact:
Skyline and Ferris have faced each other twice in the football state championship. Skyline won in 2009 and Ferris won in 2010.
